Marco Borges: Total Body Workout

Marco Borges is a celebrity trainer who is most known for working with Beyonce Knowles but he has also trained with Jay-Z and Gwen Stefani. As the holidays are soon approaching Borges has teamed up with JCPenny to offer a total-body circuit routine to keep that body in shape while feasting on pumpkin pie and cookies at those office holiday parties. He offers five simple exercises that only take five minutes where only your own body weight is to be used and not any supplemental weights. In addition, each exercise should be done for one minute only before you move on to the next one so be sure to keep a stopwatch handy.
1. Jumping Plies - Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and do a traditional squat but when you come up explode into a jump straight up into the air.
2. Reverse Lunges - Stand with fee shoulder-width apart and step back into a lunge making sure to suck your tummy in and keep your back straight. Then step back up to starting position and repeat on other leg.
3. Push-Ups - You surely know this one already. It’s a good old-fashioned exercise that works practically every body part.
4. Dips - With a bench or chair behind you squat down so that your hands are on the chair. Dip down by flexing at the elbow and then come back up to where arms are straight again.
5. Side Planks - Lie in the plank position with one hand flat on the ground with a straight arm and the other pointing up to the sky while feet are stacked on top of each other. Lower hips to the ground while maintaining a locked arm then return to starting position.
Good luck.
