Body Composition Test

It is difficult to say if the weight a person has is normal or not, because the perfect weight is built of several factors: height, body frame, muscle and bone mass, etc. This is why two persons with the same numbers on the scales might look significantly different and even if their height is the

South Beach Diet

It seems that almost everybody is interested in weight loss in some way or another.  This is a result of the fact that we are living in a society which tends to be far too busy to take care of the way that they eat.  In fact, many individuals find themselves ordering far too many meals by number while sitting in their cars at the drive up window.  If you’re interested in losing some weight, one of the best ways for you to do it is by trying the South Beach diet.  Many individuals have had great success with this particular weight loss plan. The South Beach diet has really only been around a few years. It is kind of an answer to the Atkins diet, something that works but may not be the easiest to maintain or the healthiest to be on for the long term.  The plan is basically broken into three different phases.  During the first phase, you eat in such a way that it will eliminate cravings and start your weight loss off with a bang.  This particular phase only last about two weeks.  During the second phase of the South Beach diet, you will lose steady weight by eating the proper foods under their direction.  Many of these foods are available directly from the manufacturers of South Beach Diet foods.  Once you lose your weight then you move on to the third phase which is maintenance.  This is where you learn how to maintain your weight loss for the rest of your life. It doesn’t take very much looking for you to read exactly how successful some individuals have been with the South Beach diet.  As a matter of fact, many people claim that it is the perfect way to lose weight and keep it off for the long-term.  For some people who have been struggling with weight loss for many years, the South Beach it has been the answer that they have been looking for.  If you are also trying to lose weight, it deserves a long look as it can make the difference between your being successful with your weight loss for the long-term and your going back into another yo-yo diet phase.  It will still take some work but the realization of weight loss will make it well worth the effort that you have to put into it.

Atkins Diet

How much time do you spend thinking about your weight? You would be surprised with the amount of people who actually obsess on a regular basis over the fact that they are carrying around a few extra pounds. Of course, all of us would like to be trim but it is not always practical to prepare our meals in advance so that we are always eating healthily. This is because many of us are busy and tend to eat on the run, grabbing fast food and sugary snacks. Just a quick look around in a crowd will let you know that many individuals are in the same boat. That doesn’t mean, however, that there is nothing that can be done about it. For example, the Akin’s diet has helped many people to lose the weight that they have been carrying around, quickly and efficiently. The Atkins diet is fairly simple to understand and reasonably easy to follow. Almost every diet that you go on is going to be restrictive in some way or another. The Atkins diet is restrictive because it limits the amount of carbohydrates that you eat. As an example, you are only allowed to eat about 20 g of carbohydrates per day. This is an extremely low amount and will not give your body the amount of sugar that it needs in order to keep it going regularly. This forces the body into a state that is known as ketosis in which you will begin to burn fat for fuel because of the lack of carbohydrates. It is a very efficient way to lose weight quickly, something that many people would really like to have happen. Of course, there are a few downfalls to the Atkins diet. Typically, you end up having a headache during the first day or two of the diet because of withdrawal from carbohydrates. You may also have a difficult time acclimating back into eating carbohydrates whenever you have reached your weight loss goal. Other than that, the diet is not restrictive of anything as long as you do not eat too many carbohydrates. It’s relatively easy to go out and eat while you are on this plan. So, if you need to lose some weight in a hurry, the Atkins diet can certainly help you to reach this goal.

Are Abdominal Exercises All You Need to Lose Belly Fat?  by John Otaye The question on most people’s mind who are on a quest to get a flatter stomach is "What are the best ab workouts that will achieve me results in the shortest time possible?" Does this sound familiar? The biggest misconception most folks have is that ab work outs are all you need to do to lose belly fat. Every individual on this planet has different levels of excess fat in the abdominal region, and the best method to rid oneself off that excess stomach fat, continues to be a problem for most people. The problem most people who want to lose their stubborn belly fat have is that they are looking to get fast results from the wrong work out and exercises recommended to them by "fitness experts", suggesting the application of these exercises and workout combinations will miraculously give them the flat stomach they so badly want and in no time at all! Unfortunately, specialized ab workouts do NOT burn fat off of your belly as most people would like you to think… by John Otaye

Debunking the Top 4 Myths of Weight Loss

This is how to lose weight if you haven’t got it right yet! Part of the reason why many find losing weight to be an uphill battle is simply the fact that there is a lot of misleading information out there. How many times have you read a resource about how to lose weight only to find that it directly contradicts something that you just read a few minutes before that? All these pieces of misleading information end up causing a lot of misconceptions, and these in turn just serve to muddle the entire issue. So right here and right now, let’s cut through all the unwanted and unneeded myths, so that you’re better able to lose weight in the best way possible! How To Los Weight Quickly 1.    Weight Loss Needs to be Complicated Contrary to popular belief, there is nothing complicated about weight loss. In fact, the only reason it is viewed as complicated is because there is a lot of misinformation out there that could make it appear to be so. Really, some of the simplest programs for weight loss often turn out to be the most effective, due to the fact that they have very few ‘frills’ and ‘unneeded extras’ to just complicate the issue while providing no clear cut benefits. 2.    Crash Diets Are the Best Way to Lose Weight Fast Next up: Crash diets, or ‘fad diets’ as they’re otherwise known. Every so often, people encounter the latest crash diet that is essentially a spin off of all the previous ones, with a couple of extras thrown in to make it unique. Almost all of these don’t work, and if they do, their results are often reversible and any weight that you lose will end up coming back, sometimes with a vengeance. 3.    All Fat is Bad For You While it is true that fat contains more calories, and certain types of fat are more likely to be stored as, well, fat, this doesn’t mean that you need to avoid them completely. In fact, fats are more likely to help you feel ‘full’ faster, and thus stop you from overeating. Only certain types of fats, i.e. trans fats, are really bad for you, and so avoiding all fat is definitely not something worth doing. 4.    To Diet You Need to Measure Every Calorie Consumed and Burnt Fat Loss 4 Idiots Again, this is completely untrue. Dieting is about cutting calories, yes, but you don’t need to be precise and account for every last calorie in the food you eat. Neither do you need to calculate exactly how many calories you burn. Instead, so long as you’re eating a healthy and wholesome diet, while still keeping your calorie count as low as you can, you’ll be fine. Now that you know that all these four myths are exactly that – myths, you should be able to see that weight loss really isn’t about complicated diet programs or designer diet pills. All you need is some knowledge, and the will to see a simple program through to its finish and you should find that you’re losing weight better than ever before! Social Bookmarking
